Summary

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days。

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder。 No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal。 As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares。 The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl。 Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color。

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell。 Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind。 Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body。 Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now。

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon。 Or be a warrior。

Whew。 This one is even worse than The Selection。 I feel like I should go back and give that one another chance because I made it through this pos hot mess nonsense and now I feel invincible invincible invincible。 On the plus side, the lack of proper punctuation made it a lot easier to skim。

A romance disguise as a dystopia, i like the idea of Julitte´s power/curse but the plot。。。。SPOILER ALERTFirst of all is very center in the romance and I get why Juliette fell for Adan, I mean he is basically the only person he has met that isn't a piece of trash, but why deed Adam fall for Juliette? I get she is really nice and pretty, but love? they have never spoke before and he is ready to sacrifice everything for her , I think it would have made a lot more of sense if Adam have work with Ken A romance disguise as a dystopia, i like the idea of Julitte´s power/curse but the plot。。。。SPOILER ALERTFirst of all is very center in the romance and I get why Juliette fell for Adan, I mean he is basically the only person he has met that isn't a piece of trash, but why deed Adam fall for Juliette? I can't stop thinking about the Warner Brothers, is Warner a evil sibling of them? I guess will never know anyway I of course think he is disgusting and possessive but im not really scared of him, he seems like a boy with mommy issues and lets say he isn't the most clever person, the one thing I can assure is that I think he is very analytic and again disgusting。 Adam the male protagonist was boring, sorry not sorry I honestly didn't care about him and actually I think it would be more interesting if had died, the most interesting part about him is his brother。 Now let's talk about the fact that the two male protagonist are the ONLY ones ho can touch Juliette as James would say that is "particularly convenient", like come on! Kenji seems interesting at first but the comments that he gave to Juliette make me don't like him, lets face it most of the males in this books are either pieces of trash or villains or both (castillo is cool though)The other side character have a lot of potencial and I would love to have see more of them and their powers。I can't deny that the writing style was beautiful and unique, there where some sentence like "my heart is a bar of butter" that feel a little bit of but in general I really like the writing, and the book it self was quite dynamic and easy to follow。 I don't know if I will continue with the series。 。。。more

I really liked this book! I love the idea of Juliett's power, but I love the world even more。 I think it's such an interesting idea to explain what the Earth might be like once global warming has really taken over。 I think it's interesting how descriptive Juliett is, and I like how poetic the book is。 MINI SPOILER AHEAD!!! I like the characters, Adam and Warner, though I am a little hesitant because it is INCREDIBLY convenient that BOTH love interests can touch her (!!!) This books made me understand what a great dystopia book is。 Before reading this book I absolutely HATED these kind of books。 I read few, and I didn't quite like them。 No proper romance, every character I start to love dies, everyone is running, but hey, no one even knows why! And in this book—in this book, I found all of the things, I missed in dystopian books。 Pain。 A purpose。 A terrible backstory。 And of course - love❤ This books made me understand what a great dystopia book is。 Before reading this book I absolutely HATED these kind of books。 I read few, and I didn't quite like them。 No proper romance, every character I start to love dies, everyone is running, but hey, no one even knows why!

After reading the reviews of the book on Goodreads, I started my reading without any expectations, but was pleasantly surprised。 I have to warn you that if you are looking for a well-written book, for an adult audience and with a complex plot, this book is not for you。 But if you like "Wattpad" style books that seem to have been written by a teenage girl you will enjoy this read。 About the length of the book, it is very short: In one afternoon you can finish it。 It's a light read - it has a very After reading the reviews of the book on Goodreads, I started my reading without any expectations, but was pleasantly surprised。 I have to warn you that if you are looking for a well-written book, for an adult audience and with a complex plot, this book is not for you。 But if you like "Wattpad" style books that seem to have been written by a teenage girl you will enjoy this read。 About the length of the book, it is very short: In one afternoon you can finish it。 It's a light read - it has a very simple plot that is supposedly dystopian genre but is basically romance。 Many comment on how annoying studs are, and I will not deny that sometimes they made me abandon the book for a few minutes。 But it really is not that bad。 Those studs are almost always what the protagonist thinks but she tries to deny。 It seemed original to me, but too recurrent at the beginning (in the end they practically disappear)。 What I do understand is why they comment on the descriptions: they are too long and do not make any sense。 "Armchair of constellations" Please, someone explain to me what that is。 I can assume it is a golden armchair with connected geometric shapes, but it is still impossible to interpret。 And these descriptions are constant, and they don't put you in context of where you are。 Also not to say that the vocabulary is not extensive at all。 It just makes overly detailed and quirky descriptions every page, no more。 Nor is it your typical dystopian book like The Hunger Games; it has no action whatsoever and explains very little about this world。 The book focuses on his relationship with Adam and Warner, and something about what is going on with that apocalyptic future。 The characters are not very special; I admire how Juliette is (relatively) sane, and how Warner has some (albeit very little) compassion。 And about Adam, I honestly don't like him。 I don't trust him and I don't believe his intentions are entirely good。 At least Warner, as evil and stubborn as he is, doesn't lie and keeps his promises。 And surely you wonder Why are you giving it three stars if it's so bad? Because it is very entertaining。 Despite the fact that the plot, the concept and the vocabulary is very poor, I cannot deny that it grabs you at the moment。 It is a fast and fun read that makes you think little。 It entertains you, and it is not heavy at all。 My final verdict is that, if you like complex, long books with complicated plots, it is better not to read it because you will be wasting your time。 If you like simple books, not very long and with a somewhat Wattpad writing style, you will be satisfied with this book。 I will continue reading the following ones (since from what I have been told, and from the reviews) they are much better。 I hope it has been helpful for you。 。。。more

YES! One of the only things I can say about this book is yes。 My favorite series to ever exist, right behind Harry Potter and The Hunger Games。 I couldn't put these books down and read all six in about a week and a half。 Juliette is amazing in every way, once she got past her crybaby stage。 I love strong female leads and Juliette definately delivered。 Warner is the love of my life and when he calls Juliette love? I think I go insane inside。 Kenji is my favorite book character of all time。 He mad YES! But she’s excited about who she is now。 Yay! 。。。more
